Keynote: Innovation and Challenges when building Sui, the next generation blockchain

Auditorium

Today's blockchain infrastructure suffers from many fundamental problems such as asset safety and scalability. These problems prevents blockchain technology from being adopted in modern applications.

In this talk, we describe how we design and build the next generation blockchain infrastructure, Sui, from ground up with asset safety and scalability in mind. We will talk about our innovations in data model and programming languages that will enable strong asset safety by design and horizontal scalability with maximum parallelism.

We will demonstrate how Sui can enable creators and developers to build experiences that cater to the next billion users in web3.
