Open Access is changing how the world disseminates science towards improving scientific communication, maximizing the impact of research and driving more equitable outcomes for society. At the same time, it is disrupting the publishing industry, which for a long time was relying on the subscription model to facilitate access to quality peer-reviewed research.
This talk will provide a brief synopsis of how Atypon, a Wiley company and worldwide leader in scientific publishing platforms, is supporting the acceleration of the transition to Open Access and the publishing industry's transformation, via state of the art technology solutions and services that transcend all stages of the academic publishing process.
Specifically, we will provide glimpses into the ways that our Data and ML pipelines are supporting researchers' journeys, and how our platform -- through which half of the world’s peer-reviewed research flows -- is a key enabler for improving the user experience and expanding the value chain of scholarly publishing.
