Michael Xevgenis is the organizer of the Athens OpenStack User Group in Greece and has a proven track record of over 7 years in cloud computing and OpenStack deployment. His efforts have been instrumental in advancing and supporting the local OpenStack community.
He is also a research associate at the Computer Network and Services Research Team (CONSERT) at the University of West Attica, where he completed his PhD in 2023 in the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering. His doctoral research focused on “Secure Resource Management in Next Generation Networks,” with a significant emphasis on Blockchain technology. Michael's research interests span Networking, Cloud Computing, and Blockchain technology.
Additionally, he has been a leading instructor for two Master's courses in the AIDL and NTST MSc programs. In recent years, he has been actively involved in several EU projects, including TRILLION, STORM, and FASTER under the H2020 framework.
