Chief Electronics Manager @ Magos
From a young age, Avgerinos Bakalidis had a strong interest in technology and envisions the transformation of complex systems and ideas into finished products.
He is responsible for the electronics and systems of Magos - innovative technology which changes the way human computer interacts in the extended reality (eXtended Reality - XR).
In 2012 he graduated with a degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering from Swansea University where he followed Masters in Embedded Systems from the University of Kent. He has many years of experience in embedded programming and design systems and FPGAs, in a wide range of applications such as digital processing image, wireless applications but also signal processing.
Nowadays, Virtual and Augmented Reality applications becomes more important in recreation and work. Also, with the introduction of the Metaverse, the ability to interact in the virtual world naturally is more important than ever.
An integral part of Magos design is its proprietary technology that offers very accurate digitization of the human hand and an increased experience in touch sensation by incorporating its haptic feedback technology.
By focusing in Virtual training and simulation applications Magos improves the training experience within the digital environment, providing to the user the opportunity of natural interaction via their fingers, getting the required muscle memory.
In this workshop you will be introduced to MAGOS platform and applications. Also, on live demos you will see how MAGOS technology can enhance hand interactions in VR.
